Optical fibers are a key technology in today s modern communications systems, including access networks such as FTTx, CATV, and optical LANs. Moreover, optical-fiber technologies are playing increasingly important roles in mobile communications and digital broadcasting systems. Technicians maintaining these diverse systems are forced to carry a large variety of test equipment on-site, including OTDRs, Light Sources, Optical Power Meters, Visible Light Sources, etc., as well as a notebook computer for evaluating the FTTx QoS. On the other hand, fiber construction requires measuring instruments with different functions and performance. As an example, FTTx access networks use single mode (SM) fiber whereas optical LANs use multimode (MM) fiber. In addition, core and backbone networks utilize long fibers while optical access networks use short fibers, both requiring different types of measuring instruments with different performance. But now Anritsu s new line of MT9083A ACCESS Master OTDRs solves all these problems by providing all the measurement functions and performance required for optical fiber construction and maintenance in a compact, lightweight, all-in-one unit that eliminates the burden of carrying many different test sets and instruments on-site. Dirancang untuk memenuhi persyaratan pengujian yang dibawa oleh jaringan FTTH pada umumnya, dan pons / MDUs khususnya, FTB-730 memungkinkan pengujian pada 1310, 1490, 1550 dan 1625/ 1650 nm. Apa lagi, EXFO ‘ generasi software s OTDR memungkinkan Anda menguji melalui tinggi-port-counter splitters- bahkan 1×64 splitters- dengan tingkat kerugian hingga 21 dB.
Fleksibilitas untuk menambahkan singlemode pelabuhan pengujian hidup untuk in-service tips memungkinkan Anda untuk memperbaiki serat distribusi bermasalah sementara yang lain masih aktif. Blok pelabuhan disaring yang masuk sinyal transmisi dan yang out-of-band panjang gelombang tidak akan campur tangan dalam jaringan Anda. Mempertahankan kualitas yang sangat baik dari layanan ( QoS) , hal ini akan memudahkan langkah-langkah pengujian pemecahan masalah.

MTS 2000
The JDSU MTS-2000 handheld modular test set is a compact fibre optic multi-test tool for field testing. The unit holds one interchangable test module at a time, with a wide range of plug-in application modules available. An optional optical power meter, visual fault locator and optical talk set can be built in.
The simple interface and one-touch button operation ensures straightforward use of the instrument. Results are displayed on a large high resolution colour touchscreen. The MTS-2000 is easy to handle and comes with a hands-free bag.
Automatic software updates enable you to keep up with test technology changes and new scripts. Internet connectivity allows easy communication and remote access – making it possible for senior staff to assist without travelling to the customer’s site.
The modular form of the MTS range allows the test set to have the exact capabilities needed in the field.
Test capabilities include a range of OTDR modules for multimode and singlemode testing, FiberComplete modules for automated Insertion Loss/Optical Return Loss (IL/ORL), and fault-finding. Both the OTDR and FiberComplete modules are passive optical network (PON) optimised. The MTS-2000 is also ready for connector end face pass/fail analysis to IEC standards with a digital analysis microscope. PON power meter and CWDM-OSA modules enable turn-up and trouble-shooting of PON and CWDM networks.
